General Secretary of Nepali Congress and MP Gagan Thapa has demanded that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba should take the initiative in waste management in Kathmandu Valley.

Speaking during the zero hour in the House of Representatives on Wednesday, Thapa said that the Ministry of Urban Development and Kathmandu Metropolitan City alone could not manage the waste and demanded the Prime Minister to take initiative.

MP Thapa has demanded that the people of Kathmandu should separate the decomposable and non-decomposable garbage from the house. He also suggested other municipalities in the Kathmandu Valley to assist in waste management.
