French President Emmanuel Macron has said that Ukraine will soon receive additional modern Caesar howitzers, as well as other military, economic and humanitarian aid to fight Russian aggression.

The French leader wrote this on his Twitter account on Thursday, June 30.

"France will deliver swiftly equipment Ukraine needs to defend itself, including 6 more Caesar howitzers and a significant number of armored vehicles," the French president noted .

Emmanuel Macron has joined other Western leaders in ramping up military assistance to Ukraine at the Nato summit but his pledges fall noticeably short of what is being offered by other allies, such as Britain.
