Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly set to bench Cristiano Ronaldo for the club's Premier League opener against Brighton on Sunday. Ronaldo has only played 45 minutes in the pre-season for the club and is still seemingly keen to leave the club this summer.

Erik ten Hag would reportedly prefer to stick with the front three of Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford that served him so well on the pre-season tour.
